171 High Street is a mixed use brownfield redevelopment site within a high street location comprising 3no apartments and commercial space at ground floor. The site is a focal position at an entrance into Rayleigh High Street, and as such the proposed development uses high quality materials with a traditional design sympathetic to some of the traditional architecture seen in and around the town centre.
The design features a traditional timber shop frontage, stock brickwork, slate roofs and leadwork dormers, incorporating a roof terrace to the rear.
